Salesforce.com acquires Entropysoft
Salesforce.com has reportedly acquired the French startup Entropysoft, a company offering content integration solutions for enterprise customers. A spokesperson confirmed the deal although it’s been reported that Salesforce will not be making a formal announcement, and questions are directed to this email address: [email protected]
Entropysoft technology is used by software vendors and large organisations to simply the integration of their products with content management tools and cloud repositories. They achieved $3.5 million in funding from Alven Captial, an independent French venture capital firm and have teams in France and the USA.
It would appear that the acquisition was privately finalised last month, at which point the sales executive Serge Guillerme update his LinkedIn account to display his new position as customer success strategy manager at Salesforce.
Entropysoft has signed agreements with a relatively small number of vendors over the years, including Symantec and EMC. Their website has already been updated to reflect their new status as part of Salesforce but in doing so it’s difficult to learn more about their product offering – we’ll just have to wait and see what Salesforce have in store!
